Pueda que los MTV VMA de 2020 se hayan visto un poco diferentes este año, pero los nominados y los ganadores siguen siendo igualmente merecedores de los aplausos.

La puesta en escena del pasado domingo por la noche no tuvo nada que enviadiarle a unos premios MTV VMA pre Covid. Ariana Grande y Lady Gaga lideraron el grupo con nueve nominaciones cada una, una de las cuales fue el single juntas, Rain On Me, nominada a Video del Año.
Los dos íconos del pop demostraron ser prácticamente imposibles de superar, con múltiples victorias. Además, Gaga hizo historia en los VMA al llevarse a casa el primer premio Tricon Award, que clebra a un artista que tiene grandes logros en tres o más disciplinas.
Otros ganadores notables incluyen The Weeknd, Doja Cat y BTS. Debido a la pandemia, las celebridades no se reunieron en el Barclays Center en la ciudad de Nueva York, como se planeó originalmente. En cambio, los artistas participaron desde sus respectivas ciudades en todo el país. La anfitriona de la noche fue Keke Palmer.
